Your Guide to the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) in 2025

What’s changing in 2025?

Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand has replaced the old paper TM6 arrival form with the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). This online declaration is now required for nearly all international visitors—whether you’re arriving by air, land, or sea.

While the TDAC is handled entirely by the Thai government, this guide will help you understand what’s needed and how to complete it smoothly.

Section 1: Who Needs the TDAC and When?

Who Must Submit?

✅ All non-Thai citizens—including tourists, business travelers, visa-on-arrival holders, and long-term residents—must complete the TDAC.

❌ Generally exempt:

  • Travelers transiting airside (without clearing immigration),
  • Those using a Thailand Border Pass for local cross-border movement.

Submission Timing: The 3-Day Window

You can submit the TDAC up to 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival in Thailand Time (GMT+7).

Example: For a flight landing Friday, May 15 at 10:00 AM, you may submit starting Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 AM.

Information to Have Ready

Before you begin, gather:

  • Passport details: Number, full name, nationality, date of birth
  • Travel plans: Arrival date, flight or vehicle number, transport type
  • Accommodation: Full address of your first night’s stay (including province and street)
  • Contact info: Valid email and phone number
  • Health info: Countries visited in the last 14 days and any symptoms (fever, cough, etc.)

Section 2: How to Complete the TDAC

The official process typically takes under 5 minutes if your documents are ready.

First: Enter Your Passport Information

  • Type your name, nationality, date of birth, gender, and passport number exactly as they appear in your passport.
  • Click “Continue.”

Second: Add Travel and Stay Details

  • Enter your arrival date, mode of transport, and flight/vehicle number.
  • Choose your purpose of visit (e.g., tourism, business).
  • Provide your full accommodation address in Thailand.

After that: Complete the Health Declaration

  • List any countries you’ve been to in the past 14 days.
  • Confirm whether you’ve experienced symptoms like fever or cough.
  • If you’re arriving from a Yellow Fever risk country, you may need to upload vaccination proof.

Finally: Review and Submit

  • Carefully check all fields on the summary screen.
  • Enter a working email address (your TDAC will be sent here).
  • Accept the terms and click “Submit.”

Section 3: After Submission and Arrival in Thailand

Receiving Your TDAC

  • You’ll get an email with a link to download your TDAC (typically a PDF containing a QR code).
  • Save a digital copy on your phone; a printed version is optional but useful as backup.
  • The TDAC is valid for one entry only—submit a new one each time you re-enter Thailand.
At Immigration
  • Head to the “Foreign Passport Holders” counter.
  • Show your passport and TDAC (digital QR code or printout).
  • The officer will scan the QR code, verify your details, and stamp your passport.
Can You Make Changes After Submitting?

Yes—with some limits:

✅ You can update your flight number, accommodation, or travel dates using the “Update Arrival Card” feature on the official portal.

❌ You cannot change your name, nationality, or date of birth. For those errors, you’ll need to submit a new TDAC.

💡 This flexibility is a helpful feature of Thailand’s system—use it if your plans change before travel.

A Helpful Tip from Our Team

The TDAC is quick to complete, but small mistakes—like an incomplete address or incorrect flight number—can slow you down at immigration.

We recommend submitting within the 3-day window using a reliable internet connection.

And if you’d like an extra layer of confidence, our document review service can help you catch errors before you submit—so you arrive in Thailand prepared and relaxed.
